Ways to Give

Charitable Gift Annuity-These are lifetime contracts between donors and charities. The donor gives a specific amount of the charity and, in exchange, receives a set amount of income throughout his/her lifetime. The income payments can begin no or be deferred until a future date, such as during retirement. By funding a gift annuity, the donor can claim a current-year charitable income-tax deduction based on the actuarial value of the charity's interest in the gift to the charitable gift annuity.
Charity Remainder Trust-Is an irrevocable trust that is designed to convert highly appreciated assets into a lifetime income stream without generating estate and capital gains taxes. Pooled Income Fund-These are trusts that allow for the pooling of contributions from several donors to benefit both the charity and the individuals concerned. Endowment Funds, such as Donor-Advised Funds at Community Foundations and other charitable organizations, are accounts that remove assets from the donor's taxable estate. By contributing assets to such a fund, the donor can claim a current-year charitable income-tax deduction.
Donations In Memory or In Honor of Someone-What more special way can you those you love be remembered than in their honor a service was done for those in need.
